Friday, September 3rd in Rochester New York, the CADRE Drum Ensemble won its fifth consecutive DCA Percussion Ensemble Championship – with a score of 93!
My sincere thanks go to the eight drummers who made up this year’s championship ensemble: Warren Barnett, Vince Cicchine, Gary Gomez, Jim Kane, John MacDonald, Ken Miller, John Swartz (and myself, Paul Mosley). You showcased Canada’s talent on the international stage.
Thanks also to the larger pool of 16 rudimental drummers who played in the CADRE Drum Ensemble over the past five championship seasons.
